Friday's With Tom Part--Hanging Out With My Friends
WRITTEN BY TOM EMERY
I consider myself lucky that I have friends who accept me
and my illness.
A few weeks ago one of my friends texted me if I wanted to
participate in an airsoft war with other friends. I went and had a lot of fun.
My friends and I take the game very seriously. We even dump money into
realistic looking airsoft guns and body armour. I have bought an airsoft gun
that looks like the British WE Tech L85 bullpup rifle. You can tell by the
picture that I also take it seriously. I guess the reason why we take it
seriously is because we want to be part of the military without getting killed.
A little morbid now that I think about it but we have the utmost respect for
our military men and women.
But back to the topic of this post, I am lucky to have
friends who accept me and my mental illness. I can give an example of when my
friends had helped me when I thought I was having a small episode. I was in one
of my friend's houses and felt a warm spot in the floor. I asked one of my
friends if they could feel it too. They tested to see if they felt it too and
they did feel it. They didn't say I was weird or something like that, they were
nice and checked for me.
Well that's it for this blog post, I hope you enjoyed. I
will see you next week.
Stay beautiful.
